About the Issue
In December 2009, Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee (PPMET) closed its Downtown West office and temporarily shared office space with a local abortion doctor. After the doctor's lease was non-renewed by the hospital group who owned the building, ProCET learned that PPMET would be moving to a location on Cherry Street. After much research, it was learned that PPMET had purchased a 4,000 sq ft medical building located at 710 N Cherry Street through a company established to disguise PPMET's true identity from the public.
According to the building's previous owner, neither he nor his broker were made aware of PPMET's true identity. The seller has advised ProCET that the transaction was brokered by NAI Knoxville. This past August, NAI was one of more than 50 commercial realtors who were notified about how PPMET might try to deceive an agent or seller.
ProCET is coordinating a response with leaders of the African-American community. Stay tuned to find out how you can get involved.
The Pro-Life Coalition of East Tennessee is continuing to work to deny Planned Parenthood, or any other abortion providers, the opportunity to conduct their deadly business in East Tennessee. ProCET encourages the Knoxville community to become informed about Planned Parenthood's agenda, to remain vigilent and to contact ProCET with any information.

Bishop Richard Stika, of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Knoxville, and Dr. Doug Sager, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church Concord recently asked Knoxville's pro-life community to take a stand (watch video).
